Egads.

I love Wash...while I wish it had had its day in the sun, it works wonderfully on Lost Dogs, which is where I first heard it. The first half of Disc 2 on Lost Dogs is really impeccable.

Songwritingwise, I think "Wash" is my favorite thing to have come from the "Ten" sessions. I love it and prefer it to pretty much everything on the record, except maybe "Oceans." "Aye Davanita" is cool and all, but we all knew its time would come.

Have you not met stip yet Mr Jam?

Egads indeed. lol

Wash is just a beautiful thing. And I agree with the lost dogs thing too - likely the one PJ official release I'd take if I could only take the one.

Wash is certainly the more interesting song, but it's never been a favorite. Part of this may be that for me, unlike KD, wash is one of my least favorite songs (still quite good, though) from what is for me the era that produced so many if their best songs. Even with just b-sides it gets lost behind breath, SOLAT, and ledbetter. And other than the tacky solo I really like everything about sirens--it's over the top simplicity, it's unabashed sentimentality, the musical core is pretty, stone colors it in really well, and it is a great performance from Eddie that calls me back to many of my favorite pearl jam memories

Lost Dogs-Wash is probably a top 10-15 for me.
