Oh well, as much as I love Angel, I have to admit that Insignificance is clearly the better song.

Insignificance should win the tournament. It's not going to, but it should.

Angel is one of my favorite early era songs, but Insignificance might be the best thing this band has ever done.

I'm going to commit some RM blasphemy here, but I'm not the biggest fan of the fast songs on Binaural. I can't argue that they aren't well made and I like them ok, but they just don't scratch the itch that the earlier, rawer fast songs do. I suppose its inevitable that their music would become more intellectual once their early fire died down, but it came at a cost.

we can ride off into the sunset together holding hands and listening to angel

i loved insignificance when it came out on the album

but live - that way they just stop playing at that one point - it's the right idea but the wrong timing in the song or something

it just has always come across as schticky to me

and unrewarding musically

and live has never seemed to sound as good as the studio version

and PJ stole a part of the guitar solo from fugazi in it

and Angel has a really pleasant ring to it

i wonder if ed owns boeing stock by now?

Are people really considering live performances when voting in these things? The album cuts are pretty universally the definitive versions of this song and, in my opinion, should be the basis of voting.

I dont see how you cant consider live versions of the song to a point... when youre talking about Pearl Jam, a band more known for its live shows than studio recordings over the last few years, and especially considering some of us have over 100 live versions of some songs, and have no doubt heard the live versions more than the studio.

but for some songs, the live version is Insignificant as the studio version of Insignificance is awesome anyway
