The Book Thief - it was watchable, but very light given the setting

i haven't read it...i think i preferred the second book over the first, though it's pretty close

I'd agree. I think each book improved on the previous. There was maybe a little too much recovering ground in Catching Fire, the book -- a little too much "been there, done that." But overall I'd say it was a more successful book than the first. The third one really hit for me, though.

I'm watching Grand Budapest Hotel tomorrow. Greatly looking forward to it.

I didn't hate it. But I thought it was a better concept than execution and it felt fairly hallow, predictable and left me wishing I cared more about the characters.

Snow White and The Huntsman. The dwarf effects were really impressive. I like the Thor guy. It was better than I was expecting. I'm not sure how that girl gets so many parts but...I guess I give it a C.
