I've been pleasantly surprised by some of the results so far. Wins like "No Way > Animal" and "Breath > Yellow Ledbetter" give me a little hope in where this whole thing is headed. Perhaps it won't just end being a greatest hits tournament, but I'll believe it when I see it.

With "No Way vs Rival" starting off Round 3, it's clear that I'm going to need to make some playlists to help me decide... the next round is going to be crazy

I am truly sad that In The Moonlight lost to Severed Hand. My heart has been Severed.

Oh, and I am pumped about the real March Madness starting today. I know there's not a lot of sports discussions around here, but this is my absolute favorite sporting event of the year. College basketball heaven.

And coming right on its heels is the second best sporting event of the year, the Kentucky Derby and the lead up to the Derby. Horse racing at Keeneland, betting exactas, and trying to predict the most exciting horse race ever created.

Mid-March through Mid-May is my favorite annual sports period. Period.

Curious why we didn't get the DMW version of Long Road... If demos were allowed, it would make sense to allow it a d the other song from the movie... Don't know the name of the opening sequence track... Anyone have mp3's of those?

it was technically an eddie vedder release.

I agree that many of these distinctions are somewhat arbitrary

Looking at that bracket.... an Immortality v Do the Evolution match-up would be so epic. I really don't know for sure that I could vote against either of those songs. I might actually abstain from voting. Wow. Both of those songs belong in the final four.

I mean probably. But I don't want to vote against either song. But, yeah, I mean, if I have to...

Maybe. Maybe.

I was looking ahead and the first few and last few brackets have the toughest roads ahead of them. Looking to the final four you have DTE/Immortality/Porch in one grouping and RVm/Corduroy/Last Exit/In My Tree in another.

Quarterfinal predictions

Long Road vs. Immortality
Insignificance vs. Man of the Hour
Release vs. Tremor Christ
Black vs. Corduroy

Semifinal predictions
Immortality vs. Insignificance
Tremor Christ vs. Corduroy

Finals prediction
Immortality vs. Corduroy

Insignificance has a real shot at making it to the finals though. It doesn't have many tough matches.
