This thread is annoying. Vote however the fuck you want so long as Sleight of Hand wins the tournament.

The best part is, the thing that set of today's discussion had nothing to do with how you should or shouldn't vote. It wasn't about the integrity of an internet song tournament, or what constitutes "definitive" versions of songs, or any of that. It was initiated by a response to these sentences...

"Pearl Jam is probably known more for their live shows than for their recorded work."
"Some of us...have no doubt heard the live versions more than the studio."

...and was about the fidelity limitations of recording live music.

Did I do that right? Everyone does that to me and to be honest I have no idea what it means.

Its definitely a good debate to have, there are people who simply like the perfection of the studio over the openness of whatever happens happens and you cant go back and fix it live environment.

I tend to like the live stuff more of almost all my fav bands. PJ, NY, Hendrix, Zeppelin, the doors... I listen to the live stuff more than the studio for all them. (maybe not Zeppelin now that I think about it? thats about 50/50 probably)

I am endorsing whichever perspective means Yellow Moon beats Breakerfall, instead of that voting travesty

So, this perspective, then? This would be the only perspective where that makes sense.

Do we ever close some of these early? Is there a mercy rule in this tourney?
