basically, at this point, f release. i loved the hell out of that song for so long but yeah.
also, didn't ed rewrite the lyrics for whatthehellever movie, and it was horrid? what a shame. ruining a perfectly good song like that.

WHAT?! I know he changes the 'dear dad' line live, which pisses me off... but WHAT?!malice wrote:basically, at this point, f release. i loved the hell out of that song for so long but yeah.

Went with Release. As much as I like Of The Girl, it feels like a early version of song that it yet to be fully realised. Although having seen how their songs can be finished lately, that is probably a good thing.

I'm yet to hear the re-released Release. It doesn't exist in my innocent world.Lament wrote:If your name is Rod, you might really dig it.Iholdthepain wrote:WHAT?! It is a pretty good vocal take but utterly nonessential. The lyric change is overblown in the way only rm can overblow

This was probably the toughest match up for me. Just hard to vote against a song that never gets old for me, that I will always enjoy hearing live.
As Mcp posted previously, the song changes with a loss. As a person who has lost his father, the "oh dear dad" part crushes me, and after seeing the sequence with this song in PJ20, it will forever be an emotional song for me.

I still can't vote on this one. Actually there are a few match-ups this round that I need to re-listen to. Looks like a Thursday during work job.

If you decide to go with Of the Girl, clone yourself at least 3 times, then give OTG 4 votes... the future of my faith and trust in RM depends on itVaris wrote:I still can't vote on this one.
