Sounds right to me.Kaius wrote:My interpretation of verse 1 of solat.

Really like both of these but State takes it.

I like the newer version of Garden they've been playing since 2006, and SOLAT seems to be suffering from fatigue a bit... but even with the playing field balanced out a bit, it's still easily SOLAT... this was my favorite PJ song for the first 10 or so years of PJ's existence... so it's going to get a lot of nostalgia points from me.

I thought the "new" version of Garden was only played in 06, and then they switched back.

Not sure but I thought the version of Garden from my Philly '09 box set was the "new" version... I probably haven't heard it live since then cuz they don't play it oftencutuphalfdead wrote:I thought the "new" version of Garden was only played in 06, and then they switched back.

I wish they would have an "alternate" version of a song each tour. This was cool for a single tour as was the 2003 In My Tree. I wouldn't want the change permanent, but it's cool when it's temporary.Birds in Hell wrote:You're right.cutuphalfdead wrote:I thought the "new" version of Garden was only played in 06, and then they switched back.

It did, but I'm always pretty happy to see the band actually engage with their catalogue in a thoughtful way.cutuphalfdead wrote:2003 In My Tree sucked.

State of Love and Trust for me.
I like that he sings about accounting. Why aren't there more accounting related rock songs?

SOLAT was once my favorite b-side, until BRY. A few years ago, this would have been a no contest for me, but since the Ten Redux, I've really grown fond of Garden. It gets my vote.
On a related note, I really like the Ten Redux version of SOLAT too. Not as much as the Singles version, but I listen to it more often.

No it didn't. It wasn't as good as the original, but it wasn't half bad. But what do I know? I overrate the hell out of this song. I like all the versions.Birds in Hell wrote:It did, but I'm always pretty happy to see the band actually engage with their catalogue in a thoughtful way.cutuphalfdead wrote:2003 In My Tree sucked.

If I may be so hyperbolically bold, it is absolutely impossible to overrate In My Tree.darth_vedder wrote:No it didn't. It wasn't as good as the original, but it wasn't half bad. But what do I know?
