Agreed.

I don't mean at all to imply that Ed isn't genuinely happy, I obviously have no idea but have no reason to presume otherwise, but his attempts at reflecting that satisfaction in his work invariably come across as oddly detached and, yes, forced.

He's basically down to that, songs about waves/trees and songs about rockin' out.

Happy, so happy.
