what do you think about orpik being afraid of rinaldo?

i dont think its a matter of being afraid but being smart, with all the games lost due to injury etc, theres no need to risk injury for anything

i think the flyers are just a more complete team. couturier is becoming a stud as far as being a defensive center, and matt read seems to have found his scoring touch again.

also, hartnell is as much of a douche as orpik.

for right now ill agree (being a complete team)

once everyone gets back to full health i like the pens chances a little better. missing 2 of your top 6 fwds and 2 of your top 4 d men is going to hurt any team

It's amazing how far they've fallen given what they accomplished last year.

At least you guys can both agonize over devastating 3-goal lead/3rd period implosions.

Yeah, I know about the Ottawa loss to Montreal... I just don't think that kind of third period collapse has ever happened to any team ever in the history of hockey. At least not that I've witnessed.

Hey, the Habs finished last in the conference just two years ago so I know the pain. The thing that must hurt is that the Leafs were looking pretty good up until the losing streak. Is this collapse more or less painful then the 3rd period that we dare not speak of?

It's just... I don't even know anymore. Honestly, it feels worse right now because of how long and drawn out it's been, and at least I was able to take some positives away from game seven against Boston (the team fought hard just to come back and get to game seven, they were never expected to be much competition for the Bruins, they were a young team and could still use the experience moving forward.) When Boston scored the first goal of the comeback, I spent the rest of the game staring at the TV in stunned silence. I didn't react to anything. It felt almost inevitable that the first Boston goal was just the start. This has been the same reaction stretched out over a three week period, only I can't think of any positives the team can take away from it.

The only possible positive is turning it around, winning 5-6 of their remaining games and getting back into a playoff spot. Otherwise the season will have been a huge disaster.

Thats an incredible save. Man alive.

Great night for Hockey. Big Win for the Wild (sorry oshie). Getting some good momentum for the playoffs.

Then the Gophers pulling it out with .6 seconds left. Unbelievable. Both teams will remember that forever. Poor bastards.
