"Corduroy" is a great song, of course--in the end I think I am just partial to that "Yield"-era songwriting and arrangement method, with a stronger emphasis on collaborative interplay and textures. I will also speak up and say that I think the lyrics to "Corduroy" are fucking awful, while I've always appreciated "Wishlist"'s creative take on the love song.
Honestly there are days when I think that overall I just prefer PJ's quieter, more melodically-oriented songs to their big rock numbers.
