Why are we still talking about Harmless? I don't see how it's relevant. He didn't leave because people were being flippant about Pearl Jam.

He had a lot invested in LB being good. Just think if it had been good...... could that have helped him hold on?

Managing expectations isn't the same as being cynical but it's hard to do that without sounding like you're cynical. He was heavily invested and seemed to flip flop about LB a lot.

I'm kinda onboard with a lot of stip's points here but there is no way that I want people to not post what they think, regardless of their opinion. Shit, disagreeing is half the fun.

I don't feel that there is particular bullying of new posters, well, no more than the bullying of old posters, but I can see that it would take a degree of...effort perhaps to hang in there and keep on posting if you were a more pit-esque PJ fan. But in the end if you did stick around you're opinion would be just as worthwhile and valuable as anyone else's.

I don't agree with everyone in this thread, of course I don't. I still value the posts and enjoy reading them and either nodding my head or chuckling in amazement. Whatever - like platy said above, it's all just stupid shit and shouldn't be taken too seriously.

I said before that I really haven't got that much emotionally invested in PJ, and I don't. I still like the band and their music though. Its the posters and cheap thrills that keep me coming back to RM.

I can only keep up with N+D during downtimes at work. So holidays and breaks, mostly. Like I'd ever run from arguing about a lost cause

sirens has aged shockingly well for me. Other than the solo. But I never liked it much to begin with
