Started playing New Vegas a few days ago, and it's great fun and all...but damn, it still crashes like FO3!

Should I buy the discounted add-ons for Bioshock: Infinite on the PS store this week? I haven't played the base game yet, but I've got it sitting on my hard drive.

Do the people who funded the project via Kickstarter get any of this money? Doubtful.

There's a huge thread going on reddit today about how to cancel pre-orders, but I don't know if that includes Kickstarter contributions.

I don't want to overreact to anything since the terms and operations of Oculus VR have still not really been released but I find this whole thing kind of shady. Kickstarter in particular can be awfully shady.

Yeah, my bros and I had an e-mail thread going recently about Kickstarter, and I was actually surprised to find out how many of them had been scammed or semi-scammed before. I've only used it once, and while it took quite a while for the item to get produced and to arrive, the record label (it was an LP and a book) were very up-front about stuff, answering all e-mails, tweets, and FB posts about it. There's all kinds of video games Kickstarters (they're posted to reddit all the time) and they all are super-ambitious and super-creative (like the DinoRiders-esque one, or the Skyrim-meets-GoT-but-without-magic one), but I'm always skeptical as to if they'll ever be finished.

rumours of PS+ free games for April have the PS4 getting Mercenery Kings. while it looks like a fun game i'm struggling to see how a 90's 16-bit throwback is worthy of a next-gen release.

If it is as fun as Towerfall I can get behind it being on the PS4.

People need to stop thinking they are investing in something. If it can be considered an investment at all, its a terrible one with no safety net. you have to assume even most of the successful ones will go nowhere.

I disagree. You most certainly ARE investing in a product. Sometimes you get your return (the product you invested in) sometimes you get no return. It may not be a traditional investment of buying shares, but it is investing in a product or idea. It's just a matter of time before there is a major class action lawsuit.

Anyone here by chance looking to unload any old retro games, like NES, SNES, N64, etc? I wants them.

I'm very disappointed. I thought the Oculus Rift had a lot of potential beyond gaming and could possibly lead to some interesting experiments in social networking. Being tied to Facebook kills a lot of excitement I had for its potential applications.

Pretty much anything really. I'm looking to open a retro gaming store in the fall and I'm just trying to slowly collect inventory (while also getting some stuff for myself). I'll take anything you'd be willing to part with.

If you want to sell Mike Tyson's Punch Out or the first Legend of Zelda, and if bond doesn't want them... I'd be interested.

If you've got Goodwill Stores / Salvation Armies in your area, check em! I still see SNES games there quite a bit.
