I really like both of these criminally underrated songs. This is one of the toughest matchups for me.

i actually did listen to both of them and basically ended up cringing through a lot of WWS

Severed Hand easily. The jamming at the end it pretty great. WWS kinda sucks.

Severed Hand has the second spot on the track ranking for me, right below Marker. Though, up until last year or so, it had the #1 spot. It was instant favorite when the album dropped.

WWS is a decent song with a lot of good things going for it. But it's middle of the pack on S/T for me.

I second the "criminally underrated" sentiments above. Two criminally underrated songs on a criminally underrated album... Severed Hand by a hair... it should be S/T's setlist staple (along with Parachutes!)

In this one, I'm basically voting for specific parts of Severed Hand over WWS. I think the parts of the song like: "Tried to walk found a severed hand..." create a great mood, I love the almost sludginess of the song at those points; I like the moment when the laser intro turns into the actual song; and I like the musical outro (even with the sad fade). I'm not a huge fan of the "Yeeeeeeah" parts (it's like they were pandering for audience participation with this one) and the other pre-chorus stuff. The bridge I can take or leave. WWS is a fine song, sure, but I don't think it's held up well over time.
