Just wanna give hlniv's massive 14 disc pj anthology a plug

Post by DeLima »

can't be shared on the board, REDACTED. great resequencing of studio tracks brings a new experience when listening (eg Strangest Tribe=>Sleight of Hand, Thunderclap=>Parting Ways) and the live discs are killer too.

Tracklist is in this thread, starting with this page, along with some comments. I may have made some minor adjustments since then, cant recall. I've also added 4 live discs that I think are shown later in that thread. There's still a couple more to finish to complete the 14-15 disc set.

When I get some time, I can provide mega links to all those interested. Just let me know and I will get back to you eventually. For those that have already asked, I will get to you later this weekend.

I have been swamped, and haven't had a chance to get to many of the requests. I will, though, I promise. They are mostly available as Mega links which I will distribute when I can.

Summary of the whole thing as it stands at this point -

Discs 1-7 (studio releases through Riot Act) are completed and done, unchanged from the original tracklisting.
Discs 8-9 - Post Riot-Act live compilation (Most all tunes from S/T & Backspacer plus covers) - Needs a little rework now that I know enough to edit live compilations effectively. Disc 8 is done, working on disc 9
Disc 10 - Bonus cuts is complete and unchanged (This is my favorite product in the whole set)
Disc 11 - Dave A 91-94 Live - Complete, but I reworked this at some point, cut out a few tracks and improved the transitions
Disc 12-13 - Jack 95-98 Live - not complete, in progress, every time I've started this, I've had to stop and push it off. Still working on it
Disc 14 - Matt C Live 98 - Complete, I've previously put out links to this under the title "Live on Ten Arms"
Disc 15 - Outtakes - not complete in progress, tracklisting done, but needs some work

Discs 1-7,10, 15 are all mp3. Unfortunately I made that decision early on considering that all of these tracks are widely available. The edits that I made were straight from lossless sources, but I don't have full lossless files set up for these. Maybe one day I'll go back and remedy that, but who knows when.

Discs 8-9 are being reworked as FLAC, Disc 11 & 14 are already completed in FLAC. Disc 12-13 will be done as FLAC.

For informational purposes, I decided early on not to attempt anything from the '00 or '03 tours, or any Live compilation following those tours (except for representing S/T and Backspacer in this set as discs 8 & 9). There are very good compilations from these other eras already available.

That said, however, I am working on a '03 compilation that consists of only all of the Binaural and Riot Act tracks. That's coming soon as well.

This is fun work, just have to find the time.

Thanks for the interest

Thanks, and I hope my plug didn't leave you swamped in an unwanted way. Couldn't agree more about disc 10. Puzzles and Games => SOLAT Outtake=> Anything in Between => Let It Ride = :nice:

The other disc that's absolutely a standout to my mind is disc 6 (99-00). PJ were so prolific during this period. So much great stuff.

Not much time to do anything with this lately.

Just had a baby (9 day old daughter) - and business prospects have become all-consuming.

Someday, someday, hopefully someday soon...
