Right at the beginning, when they unmute the bass mic as Jeff starts playing, the left side guitar goes from being hard panned to stretching out towards the middle more. It's getting picked up by the bass mic, the other guitar mic, and maybe other ones as well (specifically drum overheads) if they just unmuted the whole board.
