I like "Present Tense" a lot but probably less than the consensus--it was one of the "No Code" songs that took me the longest to come around on and has been one of the only ones to dim over time for me. "Go," however, remains one of PJ's few early all-out screamers that still feels as visceral to me now as it did when I was 12. Not an easy one but I choose "Go."

I'm starting to think that Present Tense is one of PJ's most overrated songs... right up there with Footsteps, Crazy Mary, etc.

Calling songs overrated is starting to become overrated.

Oh, well... then what I meant to say was that Go is one of PJ's most underrated songs!

I regret nothing, ergo present tense never quite spoke to me.

I think these are two tremendous songs, I count them among Pearl Jam's best. But I have to go with "Present Tense". That guitar line may be the single best thing Mike ever did.
