God, I'm so impatient with drafts. I need to be in a tournament with chud where there are 4 hour limits.

SRV was awesome solo but SRV and Double Trouble was the perfect embodiment of a 3 piece band. The rhythm section of Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton where absolutely essential to what they put on the table. One of the best engine rooms ever.

But yeah, I get the solo artist idea.

After that point, we'll go with an eight hour time limit. You could also designate someone to put your pick in for you if you think you'll be away when your turn comes up; Just let us know who you designated.

Sarge didn't know what his #1 guitarist looked like and no one busted balls? Am I on the right board?

OK, this is a pick that all my other picks will have to build around. A man with a long solo career and a singular sound (am I sure it's a good ideas to put him in a band?):

Fucking wow. Why the fuck hadn't I considered him? Still not sure that I would have pulled the trigger had I, but great pick anyways.

Well fucking done, sir.

That's who I'd planned to take if he was still on the board. Because how could I possibly pass him up?! But, like you, I had reservations about building a band around him. Good luck, friend. It'll be fun to watch.

As much as I'm pissed that you got him, I'm equally relieved and have to thank you for taking away the option. I would have taken him, but I wouldn't have been 100% sure about how to use him. So thanks! Oh and fuck you.

ha!
I meant we wouldn't be anal towards you, Skitch. I'd have given you 48 hours to make all of your picks.

Excellent choice. He's one of the people I thought would maybe go #1 overall on this board.

Yeah, Sarge has until 7:09 Eastern time. I feel like he'll have his pick in though. I don't know why. I just believe in him.
bada wrote:Sarge didn't know what his #1 guitarist looked like and no one busted balls? Am I on the right board?
We figured someone would wait to use it against him in GD or something.

I'm not even sure I know what I'm gonna do now. I'm second guessing my whole strategy.

In the most predictable choice since the Pittsburgh Penguins drafted Sidney Crosby, my #1 pick is...

the incomparable Miss Polly Jean Harvey.

You're up, LetMeSleep! You've got till 10:40 PM Eastern time...

Jeff Buckley?

Interesting. Did not expect to see him go in round one. Nice grab though, Sarge.

I figured you would get to her before I could. Excellent grab. I have/had her in a few of my possible lineups.

I said a couple of pages back that I don't really know any good guitarists/bassists. Keep with the program, son.
