I've never been able to confirm this with folks I know in the Greater Boston sports media world, but I've heard that it's just a really bad rumor that took on a life of its own.

I can also confirm that the two teams in MLB who traditionally lead the league in cheating on their girlfriend/wife are 1. Yankees, 2. Red Sox. Ask anyone who covers MLB that. There's a long running joke that they lead the league in wins, money spent and infidelity.

I'm almost glad Victorino is on the DL to start the season, it forces them to keep Bradley on the roster. I'm not against Sizemore being the center fielder, but he's not going to play every day, and without Bradley on the team the only backup CF is Victorino. Adding fill in duties twice a week at CF is going to add to the shit kicking Victorino has taken since he got here. The only other option is Nava in CF, and to me, that is not an option to be taken seriously.

I understand why the current ownership, which has done a great job to fix up the old park (while putting a lot of $$ into it), would not be interested in building a new park....but still, if it's no good in 30 years or so, why not start the process now? Wouldn't that be best of the city, the Sox and fans?

A new ballpark on the water would be fantastic. But it looks like that will happen when I'm well into my 60s or 70s.

That's the show. Felger and Mazz is a good show most of the time, and the baseball reporters that mazz does right afterwards during the season is probably the best show they do. If you ever listen on the weekends Hardy and Trupiano is a hoot.
