From Dusk Till Dawn: the TV series

Post by harmless »

I'm enjoying this. A Netflix original, episode 4 of 10 (season 1) will be on Wednesday. Season 2 has been guaranteed, so that's cool. Anyone else seen it? I know it's not on US Netflix but I think it started on US TV a little later...

Looks like it's on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Rey_(network) in the states. Never heard of that channel before :?

How does the story tie into the movie? Or is it just set in the same universe like the Fargo TV show?

Yeah I think this is like the flagship show for El Rey, a brand-new network.

Yep, I think so. It seems to be using the same timeline as the movie, but with a lot more context and more character development, Mexican mythology etc. Some people aren't interested on that basis, but I'd say to them give it a try. They've been given a season 2 so there's a chance they'll get to the Titty Twister at the end of season one, and then go off piste, but I don't know. What are the chances of the entirety of season 2 taking place in the Titty Twister? I'm not sure, but I hope they go completely original at some point, even though that carries some risks.

Maybe it's good? But this shit has to stop. Television is desperate, at least the major networks (or NBC). Taking the Mash idea to the extreme. NBC already has Hannibal, & now they're coming out with Rosemary's Baby. Who is watching this shit & keeping it on T.V.?

Remakes are not a 21st century invention.

I don't care if I like a show. I don't even watch TV.

Hey, I'm happy you like it! I guess what I'm saying is that I'm grateful for networks like AMC.
