Infallible sure was lucky it caught up with the guy heading back to third base so it could make the clutch defensive play.

Infallible is clearly the third baseman.
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.

By either accident or design, they ditched the backing track for this one at the Auckland show - it's like night and day, a really noticeable improvement over every previous live attempt.

You know, the keyboard pad that fades in as Matt's counting the song off and that constant percussive melody throughout the verses. The Auckland version is, by contrast, totally live; Boom plays that little melody on keys instead (he may have been doing so already but it was somewhat buried by the loop before) and the guitars are much more to the fore.Strat wrote:Birds in Hell wrote:By either accident or design, they ditched the backing track for this one at the Auckland show - it's like night and day, a really noticeable improvement over every previous live attempt.

It should've sounded like the Auckland version on record.

I'll probably end up making some kind of 80-minute (or thereabouts) mix from the Australian/NZ shows at least.stip wrote:Birds in Hell wrote:I had too.Strat wrote:Birds in Hell wrote:You know, the keyboard pad that fades in as Matt's counting the song off and that constant percussive melody throughout the verses. I'd certainly be interested in a general Lightning Bolt live mix, like my Black Market Avocado compilation, but it would depend on whether really solid live versions of some of the songs emerge.

Keep me posted, please. I haven't really heard anything beyond my show and a few youtube clips, and your mixes are really good.

Really can't warm to this song at all and it's a set killer live but I never noticed any backing tape either
