I hope every song on the next album is The Fixer or Future Days as some kind of karmic retribution.

I can't imagine a more delicious ending, than the happy sound of Smile besting the dour doldrums of Black. HEE HEE HEE!

Not since the time my giant clam swallowed the Boy Bumpkin and was all set to eat the Capon Crusader can I recall feeling so delighted.

Now I must away my little Read Mosquitos. I can't find a Batter Man but I'll have my moll definitely save a certain red breasted Reuben for later.

This is an interesting insight into how you look at albums.

It's probably more of an insight into how I look at Smile.

I remember when Ten came out, and everyone immediately gravitated to Alive. That was THE song, and a lot of my friends at the time kept their Pearl Jam to just listening to Alive, so in my mind Black was always the "underdog" of Ten, and I was so stoked to kind of have it all to myself for awhile. Ironic, I guess, to see how it's now perceived as a tired hit.

My heartwrenching breakup song was Dilate. But I don't really have any pearl jam songs associated with real world experiences.

Except future days...
