I should have time to read everything carefully and listen to links tomorrow before I vote. Holding off until then.

I don't think the THIP link goes to the right page.

Good thing I'm voting without reading that nonsense.

I'll abstain from voting for my own team. There's nothing sadder than that awkward photo of a candidate casting a ballot for him/herself.

IHoldThePain - I can see your band working well on existing and new material. Stip, nice write up but there are too many holes in your team to work well for me. Swap 1 or 2 guys and it could come together.

Lament by a nose. Lament's band would work really well and even before the write up I could envision it. Self however has the rhythm section to die for. If Lennon wasn't drafted I would have voted for Self. Lennon just tipped it away from being a flawless band.

Abbruzzese is the glue to bring Prince and Corgan together but McCartney isn't the right bass player for this project. Maybe Mani or someone a bit groovier would fit better.

Cohen as a pick is a waste. Prince would never alter his lyrics and also I doubt he'd be up for such revisionism.

I enjoyed the ride but it was never believable.

No he merely voiced a few of my concerns.

Maybe after this is over we can drop/swap a member who we considered an ill advised choice.

obviously people can vote however they want, but discounting artists because they're divas seems silly. Many of these teams are full of titanic personalities that are used to calling the shots and probably have combinations that wouldn't work together. It's pretty likely any team with multiple songwriters would fall apart unless they have a long history of being highly collaborative with other major names. DcT is probably fine, but everyone else? I mean there's a reason we rarely see supergroups and why they're often not that super.

I can't argue with the McCartney thing. That's a call about musical personalities not meshing together, which (imo) makes perfect sense to use as a basis for not voting for someone. For me it'll come down to whether or not I want to hear the music these guys will make and whether or not I think they'll be capable (musically) of making it.

I think they should work now. Sorry about that.

I'll do the same then. It's only fair. We'd just cancel each other out anyways.

As for the other match up, stip gets my vote. My affinity for Prince is well known, and Billy Corgan is another one of my five favorite guitarists ever. I actually do believe the two of them could coexist (as I've stated earlier in the thread). It might not last long, but while it did it would be spectacular.

I'd like to think I made a decent case as to my guys being able to coexist. Buckingham did so with Nicks and McVie, Hook with Ian Curtis, Grohl with Kurt, Greenwood with Thom Yorke. Honestly PJ Harvey is probably a walk in the park deal with compared to that lot.

I haven't gotten to yours yet, so you may very well have done so. I just picked dct because I know his two first picks have a well established history of working with others.
