Ouch, tough match up. Both are like PJ's 21 year old whiskey, and you can't go wrong with either. Tremor Christ for me though.

I like Tremor Christ (and hate that second L).

I'll have to go back and listen to Spokane '13 again. It's the only show where they played Faithfull and Tremor Christ back to back. That should help me sort this out.

The live version of Faithfull has always bothered me. Particularly the lack of the ringing cymbals after the bridge (?)...In the studio it's the beautiful build up from like the 2:00 minute mark to the 2:21 mark, then Ed comes back in with "it echoes" and Jack just lets the cymbals ring. It's kind of like a release in a way. Live however, Matt goes back to the high-hat and that "release" never happens. It's a minor nit-picky thing, but it really bugs me. Just reason 267 of 500 why Jack is better.

Both are so good.

Yep. I watched SVT the other day and it was a little depressing. Just listening to what Jack was tooling around with in between songs. Just brought a completely different, tribalish sound that was so perfect. Such a shame he couldn't make it work out.darth_vedder wrote:The live version of Faithfull has always bothered me. Anyway, in this battle of supreme heavyweights, I took Faithfull. TC had its glory last year.

Spokane '13 is a really good show. Top 5 of that tour. Faithfull by a coin toss.

I really do like TC more, but I'm tempted to change my vote b/c of TC already winning. However, if there is a song worthy of being a two time champ, it's Tremor Christ.
