overrated in terms of what? I don't think any one considered him (or Goldberg for that matter) a great worker

I think it's assumed that a main event guy should be at least a good worker, and neither of them were.

At least Warrior had a decent gimmick though, I never could see how Goldberg got so over. He has the personality of a rock, and was horrid in the ring.

maybe now, but that certainly wasn't true in Warrior's time...considering he took it from Hogan who was terrible himself...there was a reason the IC belt was considered the "worker's" belt

as for Goldberg, well, let's just say WCW screwed the pooch with that one, for a variety of reasons

I had about 10 minutes where I got really excited about this, but then remembered I work on Sunday nights during the summer I think the only two PPVs I'd pay to go see would be Money in the Bank or the Royal Rumble.

We had dinner at my parents' house the night before Wrestlemania, and I mentioned about how we (my fiancee and I) were looking forward to the Hall Of Fame that night. My older brother went quiet for a minute, and then said: "I have a confession to make. I went to Smackdown last week at the Garden." He went with two guys from work but hadn't told anybody else thinking it would be way too embarrassing; needless to say, we thought it was cool.

WWE used to be pretty laissez-faire about their content being up on Youtube; you used to be able to find entire Royal Rumble matches. But I feel like they're been cracking down on it since the network got rolling.

They started cracking down pretty much the moment they announced the network. For what it's worth, the network is pretty awesome and a great value.

I always forget that happened in Worcester.

The only live event I've ever been to was Survivor Series 1993.

I've only seen the WWF at a local gym called the Catholic Youth Center. It probably only held 3000 people tops. I got to see Ric Flair, Macho Man, Bret Hart, Mr Perfect, IRS, The Repo Man, British Bulldog. In the main event of Macho Man v. Flair, Flair's tights got pulled down exposing his butt. The Catholics were angered and the WWF were never invited back.

The other raw I went to ended with Austin and rock singing margaritaville together, which was a big step down from the foley title win.

there was a Raw where after the show, Rock and Foley did at least 20 minutes of comedy in the ring and they fucking SLAYED the entire crowd...I'm hoping at least some of that made it onto that "after the show" DVD they're putting out later this month

yeah, i've been pretty happy with it. hopefully more is added- the older stuff is still lacking a bit (where's awa?!), but there's more than enough content to keep me entertained. i've been into the countdown shows- usually get some good laughs from those.

I don't think they have the rights to AWA. I'd like to see more wcw content like nitro and clash of the champions, I never really watched wcw and wouldn't mind checking some of that stuff out.

they definitely have awa rights. i'm pretty sure they used it in network marketing (which is why i was expecting to see some out of the gate), but maybe i'm just thinking of news bits on it.

My only complaint is that they haven't added much since it launched. I can see how WCW went out of business, their ppvs are awful. The main events are consistently te worst match of the show, and it's almost like the ppvs build to episodes of nitro, not the other way around.
