Corduroy. Tremor Christ is one of the most fascinating songs the band has ever done, lyrically (is there a narrative here? or is it all just random fantasies?), but Corduroy is just a monster. Certainly overplayed at times in the band's history, but it always kills at shows and always retains that toe-tapping quality--even if you're not paying attention when you hear it, it sets off something inside of you (passion?) and your lizard brain knows it's there even if you consciously don't.
I voted for TC and like it more, but if Corduroy wins, that's cool. Both are great songs, and for a few years there in the 90's, I thought Corduroy was the best song Pearl Jam ever made.

One of these assessments is spot on. The other is completely wrong.
You're right. Sort of. Half right about the second half. Corduroy isn't mediocre. It's good. I just get bent out of shape about how much people love it. Not because of others, but because I'm so insecure that I feel it reflects negatively of me. The more people rave, the more I question what's wrong with me, why I don't get it.

I used to think Tremor Christ was good till Wishlist came on here and made that thread about how it made his friend ask him to change the station. Now I know I was wrong.
I want to change my vote to Tremor Christ, so it can beat Corduroy and go to the final round. Then Insignificance can beat Immortality and Tremor Christ to win the tournament.
