10th album rumors and speculation

Hopefully this trend abates.

I don't like to get into the replace Matt Cameron scrum, beucase I like him as Pearl Jam's drummer unlike a host of others, but if Richard Stuverud (however you spell it) was their drummer while Matt explored the greater reaches of Soundgarden, would we have an album by now? Just wondering since he's made quite a few albums with Jeff Ament since Backspacer (which for the record, I quite enjoyed both Tres Mts and RNDM).

This is not a bad idea. I kinda like it. (and maybe the band can return to playing their material at the proper speed)

Wonder how 'finished' these are? You hear different members saying 'we've X amount of tracks done', do they mean finished and ready to be mixed and mastered?

I hate that day. I am gullible. I once believed for a good half hour in the late-1990s that Walt Clyde Frazier was making a comeback based on a pre-game show. They had him in uniform and everything taking warmup shots.

While I can immediately pluck out and disbelieve the "Pearl Jam announces split" fake headlines, new album claims I will probably believe and will feel excitement, followed by anger, followed by embarassment for believing it. Then I'll deny it and say I never believed the hoax. This hurts my soul already. Screw you all in advance!

it's what echols, et al., had to plead to be free. i don't doubt that ed would consider writing a song about that, but such a direct title just raised my eyebrow as opposed to making me think it is legit. it's an easy way to give credence to the list. there's bushleaguer, so it's not unprecedented, but a direct title like that is a rare breed of title in the pearl jam world.

maybe, but Eddie is also usually not very subtle with these kinds of political titles where he's really wearing his heart on his sleeve--bushleaguer, as you said. When it is more abstract stuff (war is bad, etc) he'd be a bit more subtle usually (although Green Disease...). But I don't know. This seems right up his alley
