Lets talk about the 2009 tour

Said no one ever.

How about the fall 95 tour though? I love those shows. Some really great corduroy jams. Open Road. Good stuff.

the 2009 tour was pretty great, specially after that trainwreck of 2008.

We got new music ( even if you dont like it), they played No Way and Push me pull me, Perry Farrel, Chris Cornell, Jerry Cantrell, The philly shows....great year.

Love the debuts of Red Mosquito and Brain of J from the Nov 95 SLC shows. Mike just tears up RM.

No Fuckin' Messiah 2 was my first bootleg and I loved the debuts from the 1995 tour. I played the shit out of those November dates, Red Rocks and Soldier Field. I don't prefer Ed's voice on the tour and Jack made some of the Ten stuff plod along, but I love the intensity.

Why doesn't this band go back to Red Rocks?!

Just as good a question: why doesn't Pearl Jam release the Red Rocks shows? I'd love to see them come up with a great quality recording of these. The one I have is pretty decent, but those were great shows along with Soldier Field and that Milwaukee show where McCready goes nuts on Little Wing/Maggot Brain.

The October 9 show in San Diego was killer. The crowd was great, the band was perfect and the wife and I were drunk.

Rotterdam 09 was not my favourite Pearl Jam show I've been to.

I thought the O2 show was pretty awesome. It was a good 10-12 song stretch of pre 95 material with 1 exception. Plus the SheBu gig was great just to see them in a smaller venue. Hand in hand those 2 gigs are highlights for me but nowhere near the 95 show I saw.

Went to the Seattle dates, two of the sloppiest sets I've seen them play. Night 2 had the more unusual song selection for a Pearl Jam.
I did go to Chicago 2 also. That was a good one; the first half particularly strong.

That was a fun show, not a great or killer show. Nothing compared to what they did in the same venue three years earlier.

Agreed. I thought the LA shows were more noteworthy. Maybe my expectations were too high based on 2006.

You're probably right. My own state of mind had a lot to do with it. We were sans kids for the first time in a couple of years and drunk. This was the one where Ed climbed up the stage ladder, right? Or was that the tour before?

I was at the Seattle shows as well. I did enjoy the first time playing "No Way" in 11 years, and even though I don't care for the song that much, I liked the version of "Supersonic" dedicated to the Soncis leaving town.

I heard No Way in '98 and selfishly wanted to keep it as my rarity.
