Wonder why there is no Lando? Kinda surprised no Obi Wan either.

Man I can feel a buzz overkill coming on this. No doubt I'll see the movie and want to like it but part of me is already getting tired of the hype.

No Obi Wan, Yoda or Anikan ghosts in Episode 7.darth_vedder wrote:Wonder why there is no Lando? Kinda surprised no Obi Wan either.

i am certain that the sequel series is going to range somewhere between serviceable to pretty good. with jj abrams involved, there's no way in hell it's going to be any worse or better than that.

Dohmnall Glesson is utterly unlikeable. His dad Brendan deserves nothing but respect but I'm already groaning at this pick.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015)
I have mixed feelings about the original cast members returning. I have this feeling that their involvement will only be minor, like cameo appearances just for the sake of it (and they'll probably get paid more than the main actors).
Or, that we'll just realise how old, fat and frail they have all become, as they frump around awkwardly during "action" sequences" and will therefore ruin the legacy.
If they don't move around too much, and their parts are integral to the story, it could be great.

If Solo states that "he has a bad feeling about this"....that would be a disaster. I hope they are only used for ultra dramatic scenes. Luke playing the part of an Obi Wan type advising, revealing secrets or some shit.... or perhaps all three are killed by a Sith. Who knows?

Wouldn't Luke have to be the "Yoda" to all future Jedi?Coach wrote:I have mixed feelings too and pretty much agree with everything you say here.Sgt. There are gonna be nods to the original trilogy. I can almost guarantee that. I am fine with hat as long as the characters are written well into the story and not just there for such anecdotes.

I'd be surprised if it doesn't begin with Luke in some kind of mentor based role, and that Han and Leia are living an idyllic life popping out kids on some remote planet, with their pet guard dog Chewbacca.B wrote:Wouldn't Luke have to be the "Yoda" to all future Jedi?Coach wrote:I have mixed feelings too and pretty much agree with everything you say here.Sgt. I'm sure they'll show a glimpse of the Millennium Falcon as a rusting relic, designated to the dull life of a kids playground or a scrap heap.
I think there'll be an inherent sadness in seeing some of the legacy items from the original trilogy.
