I'm way more nervous about playoff games now that the Bs have been successful for a few seasons...especially against Montreal. This is going to be a long week! (And a half?)cutuphalfdead wrote:Guys, I'm going to the B's/Habs game tonight.

I'd say the Sharks are worse...the Chargers had 2-3 years there where they were really good, the Sharks have been a lot of analysts' pre-season Stanley Cup picks for going on a decade nowGreen Habit wrote:I had a friend tell me that the Sharks are the San Diego Chargers of the NHL--presumably the Chargers of the last decade that could never get through the playoffs. Is that accurate?

I wonder how many more gag jobs it'll take before the sharks break that group up.

if pens go 7 this series i think only some minor tweaks. they go less than 6 and coach, letang, and orpik are goneMattA75 wrote:I think both them and the Penguins will make big changes this offseasonnumbers wrote:I wonder how many more gag jobs it'll take before the sharks break that group up.

I think Fleury has to go, how anyone on that team can have any confidence in him is beyond me...as a Canucks fan, the one thing about Luongo was that for all of his struggles, it at least was usually obvious when he was crapping his pants, and you could do something about it (not that Vigneault ever did in time but I digress)...with Fleury it just seems like it can happen at any minute at the drop of a hatPeeps wrote:if pens go 7 this series i think only some minor tweaks. they go less than 6 and coach, letang, and orpik are goneMattA75 wrote:I think both them and the Penguins will make big changes this offseasonnumbers wrote:I wonder how many more gag jobs it'll take before the sharks break that group up.
I would agree about Letang (that contract will be a bitch though), and I think they should really look into moving Malkin as well...
And I don't know what's happened to Bylsma, he used to strike me as very good, but now it seems every time I watch a Penguins game, he gets outcoached...

Most contending teams want a goalie who can help cover for some of those issues, not the other way around.Peeps wrote:i really have faith in fleury. our d has been horrendous and so has our O with mistimed turnovers. eliminate those and fleury looks like gold

As for the bruins game, I thought the bs were the better team all night, it just seemed like every Montreal shot ended up being a goal. Price was a beast for them.

Some idiot fans sitting around me last night. These dudes kept yelling at the Bruins to dump the puck like they were on a penalty kill when it was even strength. Sorry, that would be icing.

Not that he was horrible last night, but I'm really starting to wonder if MTL is in Rask's head...he looked like he was fighting the puck a lot last nightnumbers wrote:As for the bruins game, I thought the bs were the better team all night, it just seemed like every Montreal shot ended up being a goal. That game was on drugs. Price was a wall for most of it...but then again, when the Bruins did get him moving, it seemed like they kept trying to make the extra move. 2 of our three goals were just overpowering, and the other was just a "Get it on net!" kind of thing. I hope they can change the gameplay accordingly Saturday.

Honestly, I wish they wouldn't boo pk as vociferously as they do, it makes us look like such ignoramuses.

I'm not saying he wouldn't be booed if he were white, but to give him that viscous "chara in Canada" treatment just makes us look like a bunch of good ol boy morons.
