I've listened to very little post Berry material, but know a handful of tunes. I'm fully prepared to get my ass kicked in this thing, I'm more of a casual REM fan, I barely know what songs are on what albums. Having said that, I have all the Berry material, so my song selection will be mostly the Murmur > Hi Fi stuff.

All of REM's material is worth getting to know.

Agreed. I plan to listen to some of the later albums for this tournament. I'm actually listening to them now.

In all honesty, when's the last time you guys listened to Around the Sun from start to finish? It must be at least 8 years for me. I could probably only name a few songs from that album that I remember what they sound like.

C'mon, what else do you have to do between now and Labor Day?

that's probably an accurate timeline judging by how long the "march" madness tourney took.

Most excellent. Is a winner going to be determined by general vote or something?

There is a tournament. We'll randomly shuffle the teams. Two face off against each over, the winners advance, etc. General voting. You just pick your favorite of the two.

and just to be clear, you don't need to arrange them into a playlist or anything like that. The gimmick for this tournament is the need to have something from every record.
