Mine too. And it generally gets lost among the rest of the album because those songs are so damn good themselves.stip wrote:that's probably my favorite REM song

I
Find The River. REM has amazing one-two punches that end some of their albums. Good Advices and Wendell Gee come to mind.

Well... I'm rarely around on weekends, so I didn't realize this had started and I'm gonna go ahead and pick a couple off the top of my head:

Me too. And it's one of only two songs that I really care about from Document. I wanted to make sure I grabbed it before it they were both gone and I was stuck with picking something I didn't care about from that record.stip wrote:that's still probably a top 3 REM song for me. ^^ You might give Document another spin. It's top shelf REM, front-to-back. Easily one of their best efforts. And the production really holds up. In addition to have killer songs and performances, it's a fantastic sounding record.

I really should give it another go. It's been a few years.

after this, let's have a tournament for varieties of unseasoned, unbuttered, and ungravied pre-packaged mashed potatotes

Seconded. It's the first record that stands out from top to bottom. I love the bottom half.PryTo wrote:^^ You might give Document another spin. It's top shelf REM, front-to-back. Pretty Persuasion and Second Guessing really hold it back for me. I think the rest of it is strong. Hell, I took 7CB already.Chris_H_2 wrote:You don't think Reckoning does?Kaius wrote:Seconded.
