i've yet to see a good angle of it so i'm sure the league fined him based on better evidence than the one quick shot shown on tv at the time, but couldn't it have been that thornton was spraying the water at the boards (like almost every player does before they take a sip) and that it happened to ricochet on pk?

again, if there's a another angle that shows deliberate intent (which i'm sure it was based on the 1/2 days pay fine), i'd like to see it. if for no other reason than b/c it's hilarious and i hope it causes the habs to continue to be off their game tomorrow night.
