Last night's episode was by far the best of the season.

The consensus is that season 2 is a lot better than the first, right?

I've watched the first five episodes so far. Intruiging, but I'm not really blown away yet. I really love the novel, and was hoping for something closer to it in feel than the film adaptations.

Yeah, second season is better in my opinion. The dialogue is really great in season two.

Kinda weird to spot so many lines from the novel scattered around these episodes, often said by different characters than the book. Takes me out of it a bit.

It's not even the same league.

Season 1 gets better by the end.

Season 2 is one of the best things on tv (cable or not) right now.

Last episode was brutal.

Yeah i don't watch much network tv, but this show is great. Very graphic, you wouldn't see some of the stuff they show even on FX or other cable networks.

Friday 11pm right?

What a terrible day slot....it'll be hard to get a season 4.

Only if it gets some emmy/golden globe attention next year.

10 pm on Friday. That's the only slot where network tv could get away with some of the stuff they show on Hannibal.

We finished season 1 last night. You guys were right, it does improve dramatically towards the end. I thought that final scene was beautiful, particularly the use of Patrick Cassidy's aria. I think that piece is just stunning. It was composed for Ridley Scott's "Hannibal" film, and doesn't really make any sense narratively in that scene, but I loved it-- got a big stupid grin on my face as it started playing. Also, it sounds like now they're about to really deviate from the book and have fun with the characters, which I'm looking forward to. Starting season 2 tonight.

Can't wait for Jorge to catch up with this season. The past two episodes (the two just before the season 2 finale for Jorge's reference later) have been absolutely spectacular.
