Basically what Heathen said. I'm not really into this particular style, so most of the mix was uninteresting, but still pleasant. I recognized a few of the tunes, which I guess is good for a point of reference.

Of the stuff I didn't know, I liked the fifth track the most. It was a little quirkier than the rest, and that extra personality helped me find more connection and interest in the song.
Spoiler: show
It sounds like Damon Albarn singing. Is it Blur?
Not a bad mix, just not my thing. I can't speak to flow or anything at this point, because I haven't given it sufficient time or attention to focus on those aspects.

dkfan9 has bent the rules of the e-ether such that the void caused by his departure is smaller than the void wrought by his presence--yet bammer is not large enough to fill the shrunken hole

Yeah, there are definitely some posters here who I think would be really into this mix.

I'm gonna give it another listen later and try to get a more detailed review up tonight or tomorrow hopefully.

OK, so it's an 'Americana' feely mix. It's nice enough but not much here to really grab me and make me sit up and take notice. A few songs I did particularly enjoy though, some I knew already, some not. At first listen across the first few tracks I actually thought it may have been a single-band mix, but of course it wasn't.

Thanks for putting it together Mix Master. The effort is always appreciated.

I'm listening to this now. I had the exact same 'oh, it's Americana rock' reaction. This is sometimes okay in small doses, but it's hard to deal with in large doses--at least for me.

Thank you to the mix maker :)

Some brief thoughts.

Track 1: I confess my first thought was ‘oh god’. This slow jam country style is not really my thing, even though I think slide guitars are very pretty. This has a crosby /nash feel to it, especially with the harmonies. This seems like an excellent entry from a genre I just don’t care about, at least not without some kind of twist.
Track 2: Not really a fan of this one—has that 60s ‘garage’ aesthetic I don’t usually go in for.
Track 3: I kind of like this one. I wish the harmonies were a little less clean. I like the fuzz on the guitars, and the gentle stomp the song has.
Track 4: I like Beck’s weirder stuff more, but this is a pretty song. I haven’t heard this in a long time.
Track 5: For a half second I thought this was going to be Prison Sex, and thought ‘what a bizarre change of pace’. Not a fan of this one. It gets really irritating by the end, although I like that little riff at the end of the song
Track 6: Ehh, I feel like this is kind of a boring version of what could be a more interesting song
Track 7: Another one that just kind of drones on in a vaguely pleasant but uninteresting sort of way
Track 8: another country/folk song. It tries a bit too hard. The I’ll just sit here listening to Nebraska line feels affected.
Track 9: Talking about Neil Young never does me any favors
Track 10: I tend to really like the music in pink Floyd songs and wish someone else was singing them. This is par for the course.
Track 11: Uh oh. The Beatles
Start with track 12: catchy and well meaning in as toothless a way as possible
Track 13: This wasn’t bad. The music was nice, esp, the bridge.
Track 14: Okay, this was pretty good.

This mix never really had a shot. I’m not much of a fan f this genre, and I didn’t think many of these songs were that attention grabbing for a newcomer to it. I suspect they’re all really well executed songs though, for the converted.

The last track was definitely my favorite, but I already had mix fatigue by the time I got to it. I’m gonna be keeping track of my favorites from these mixes to put together, and this one will probably make the cut.

What is Track #10? I quite dig it. It has a Byrds or David Cosby late 60's vibe.

Track 2 is one of Dave Davies finest moments in the Kinks.

The continuity on this mix is outstanding considering the spread of artists. To have Blur and the Kinks sitting next to some of the more Americana sounding jams is impressive. I generally have to be in a particular mood to seek out this style of music but this was well put together and easy to get into.
