So the Browns may have Josh Gordon suspended for a year, Nate Burleson broke his arm, and they didn't draft any WRs this year. So, the logical thing to do is...
At least they signed Miles Austin!

In this case, yes. Not being able to catch the ball is essentially a fatal error for any receiver. Seems obvious but then guys like Little somehow stick around.Green Habit wrote:Even worse than camp fodder that has no previous knowledge of the team's system?Joesanity wrote:Little is terrible. Reading about the Mathis story and some other things like HGH testing, I'm really hoping that the NFLPA can collectively bargain away the league testing for weed. It's so damn ridiculous.

It really is, especially with all the players with alcohol problems. Weed seems like the perfect drug for an NFL player--not habit forming, helps you relax, has proven anti-inflammatory properties, almost impossible to spend all your money on. They should really be encouraging players to use it, if anything.Green Habit wrote:Reading about the Mathis story and some other things like HGH testing, I'm really hoping that the NFLPA can collectively bargain away the league testing for weed. Let's not forget analgesic (though you probably didn't by mentioning anti-inflammatory). I keep reading stories on how something like half of NFL players regularly smoke weed just to deal with the pain of regularly playing football. Maybe the compromise ends up being something like it won't be tested for, but if you get charged with any crime related to it discipline is still in play. At the very least, as it stands now that would be quite favorable for Bammer and myself.Orpheus wrote:It really is, especially with all the players with alcohol problems. Sign with a team in TX or FL for no state income tax...or sign with a team in CO for legal weed!Green Habit wrote:Let's not forget analgesic (though you probably didn't by mentioning anti-inflammatory). Good on Goodell for suspending Daryl Washington an entire year. That should send a strong message and hopefully set a precedent.
EDIT: I retract this statement--in fact, I do a complete reversal. I thought it was going to be for his guilty plea for beating up his girlfriend. Instead it's for the damn substance abuse policy. Shame on Goodell choosing the wrong reason to suspend him.
