fuck Sublime.
Really? I heard Sublime was one of Ben Shepherd's favorite bands. I could take them or leave them but anytime Santeria comes on at a bar or something every delta bravo in the place acts like its an event.

They are boring. And Santeria and the other hit they had, both attracts idiots.

Its like their mixed these all great influences and made the worst music...and gained a lot of attention and followers who did the same with their bands.

Big Wave
Supersonic

Both of these songs have done a lot to diminish my life over the years.

Sublime is the the epitome of mountain town music. I cant fucking stand it. I see flyers all over the place for local bands "Blending, funk! reggae! rock! blues! hip hop! a must see!"

Oh, okay, so a sublime cover band. Fuck you. Nice fucking music, shut the fuck up and go home.

Pretty much everything that Ben wrote around that time is really, really painful and at the same time, amazing.

I could see that. Head Down is like that, two classics though. The final song on Down on the Upside was none too upbeat either.

Shepard wrote Switch Opens around then, a gem that is way more upbeat!

Boot Camp was written by Cornell...and yeah Head Down, Half...all those compositions are all Shepherd trademarks.
