I grew up in Nebraska and I can confirm that. There are some great people there though.
Lincoln has a brand new arena and has been booking a good number or big bands since it opened last summer. It is only about 30-40 minutes from Omaha forming a metro area of about a million people. They haven't played anywhere within 3 hours of there since '03.

Oh cool, I wasn't insulting the people there at all, really nice folks, I went through there in 2003, so compared to New York, it was a culture shock.

It is. I was just in Cincy this past weekend for AIC. It's close to me but the damn police state down there just bums me out. Cops everywhere all the time. Insanely early curfews. It's like a no fun zone. C-bus or CLE over that.
It could be done. Maybe a tornado doesn't try to blow us away there for once? That rumor seemed to die down though. I'll take all that action if it's true.
