You're not the only one. I've seen all of the Star Wars movies in their original run in theaters - all 6 films, the '97 re-releases of the original trilogy, even Phantom Menace in 3D.

By all [rumored] accounts, Ford is done with this thing. I can't see any way they get him to do more than this new trilogy.

Personally, I don't think Han makes it out of Episode VII.

Hamill could maybe go either way depending on when it's set. If it's between Jedi and VII, maybe they use him. Other wise, I gotta think he's way too old.

i'm thinking new actors, prequel stories for both han and luke. there's no way they center a star wars movie around a 65-70 year old man.

I would tend to agree. I just don't know how confident they are in modern technologies ability to age fucker downs, like in X-Men 3. I could absolutely see them trying to cast Mark Hamill and using CGI to make him look 20. I wouldn't recommend it, or champion that course. But I could easily see it employed.

But, yeah, I'd rather new actors for any prequel biddniz.

I saw Empire and Jedi in the cinema plus eps I, II and III. I think I went to midnight screenings of all the prequels.

I remember I had some Star Wars toy (maybe Boba Fett?) with me for Empire, I was no more than five years old, running up and down the aisle with that toy as though he were flying. The theatre was pretty empty, other than my grandmother and I there wouldn't have been more than twenty other people, I think it was at the end of its run. It might have been my very first going-to-the-movies experience.

I also remember coming home from school one day and my dad surprised me with tickets to see Jedi that night. That year I had been collecting/trading these things like crazy:

I feel like that's quintessential to a Star Wars story. You wouldn't make a Star Wars w/o lightsabers or a space battle. It's a sign that Abrams is taking this movie back out into the unsettled "West" and away from Senate fillibusters and Applebees sports bars.

I thought it was ok. It looked about as ridiculous as all the other aliens from ANH's opening act. Star Wars isn't supposed to be entirely dark or doom and gloom. It certainly wasn't TPM bad.

Much like pearl jam, some people seem to have so ruined star wars for themselves that they will be unable to enjoy anything anymore without extensive therapy and/or reprogramming
