Yeah, my second and third listens I just sat back and let the Florida night air flow through the window while I listened, and the setting definitely enhanced my enjoyment.

It's obviously someone who accurately identified the Kinks, Blur, Pink Floyd and the Beatles as the four pillars of Americana.

Also, I know it's been mentioned here before but how do I strip the song file ID's out to rename them so they can't be identified.

Weekly was my original suggestion, but people pretty overwhelmingly wanted it bi-weekly. If you guys feel like weekly would be better now that we've gotten the first one up, we can go ahead and do that. I've actually got the next mix in my possession, so I can post it at any time. I'm gonna leave the old mixes in the Drive for as long as I can, so it's not like people who join late can't go back and listen to/review older mixes.

I was literally posting this suggestion when the "news posts have been made" notification came up. I think ten days could be a decent compromise.

Alright. I've got an every ten days schedule set up. If people want to switch to that I will post the new mix tomorrow (the 21st) and send out new dates to everyone who has volunteered to be a part of this so far.

Some notes from our current mixer...

I don't really have a theme for my mix except that these are, in the main, more recent songs. Oh yeah, and I guess that the last song is a kind of "Song for RM".

I'll give the last mixer a chance to reveal himself and his tracklisting for everyone when he visits this thread again. I'll also be PMing everyone with new mix dates based on the new time length.

Let me know that the new upload is working alright so I can fix it if it isn't.

I just noticed no one has replied to this. I'm able to do it by right-clicking, selecting "Properties" for each file, and just deleting/replacing any identifiers

Track One - Cool song the singer has a super familiar voice but I can't place it.
Track Two - Kinda BRMC....I like the music but I prefer a more mad man howl type vocal.
Track Three - Shits Hot Fire! Maybe a little long.
Track Four - Really like this one looking forward to the track info.
Track Five - Really like this one looking forward to the track info.
Track Six - Kinda like Judas Priest meets ZZ Top. Would have liked a stronger vocal.
Track Seven - One off novelty type song but funny.
Track Eight - Ok
Track Nine - See track Two and Six....I miss good singers.
Track Ten - Ok
Track Eleven - Like this one...
Track Twelve - Ok
Track Thirteen - Nice song....
Track Fourteen - Yikes its long...Sexy though...

Four and Five made a good impression....worth it just for those. No idea who is on any of these songs or who could have created the mix.

Really enjoying the female presence on this one (to no one's surprise I'm sure) my first listen through.

This was one of the few songs I instantly recognized. This band seems to be a favorite around this forum of late. You're right though, it's a really good song.

I'm thinking Track Eleven is my favorite this first time through. I really, really love this song (so much that I decided I couldn't wait to found out who it was and had to google the lyrics to find out). So very much right up my alley. Thank you, Secret Mixer #2.

I'll give a more thorough review after a few more listens.
