Yeah he's getting a lot of shit, critics saying he's ripping off other directors. It's his first movie! Leave the guy alone.

Regardless, I like his ambition. I hope he tries another one.

You're not alone, Len. A lot of people dislike him.

I think he's very talented. It baffles me when I hear people say, "He can't even act. Have you seen Drive?", as if Drive is the only film he's ever been in. Forget Half Nelson, I guess.

I'm guessing one of the reasons he took on writing/directing is because he's bored with acting. He just needs another good role to come his way. He was originally going to star in Dallas Buyers Club. Missed opportunity.

While I like him as an actor, I don't get the love for Drive.

But the theater i saw it in started it 30 minutes late, so i had a sour taste before it even started.
