I'm somewhat convinced that Pearl Jam didn't record Lightning Bolt. They didn't even write the songs. Brendan O'Brien invented a mechanism that records one's thoughts, and he recorded himself thinking what Pearl Jam should sound like, and what they'd sound like if he was in the band.

I'm listening to this right now. I still enjoy it. It's solid, sometimes pretty darn good.

I like to think PJ have one more really great album in them. Somewhere off into the wilderness of where they are with this album. Probably not, though.

Yellow Moon is still shit.

on all of the merch

then they'll make a sequel to 'into the wild' titled 'into the wilderness'. it will be a story about a band that throws off the shackles of non-conformist artistic credibility by selling out and purchasing private homes in a gated Aspen community named 'the wilderness'.

what if Future Days was EV's ode to the rest of the band, and not about his wife?

It has to be so hard for Vedder to write love songs to Brendon, but Future Days really nails it without making homo haters feel weird.
