It's obviously someone who accurately identified the Kinks, Blur, Pink Floyd and the Beatles as the four pillars of Americana.

This did crack me up. Americana has roots in the most surprising places...

Thanks for the mix bada. I actually had a long drive for work today and lined your mix up again, along with the secret mix #2, and listened away as I drove. Your mix really shined as a driving soundtrack and I enjoyed it from start to finish. Windows down, wide open road, 500kms with not much else to do but sit back and listen (oh yeah, and avoid hitting stray cattle that were absolutely fucking everywhere!).

I also enjoyed Mix #2, also a good driving mix, but certainly in a different way. There were a few songs that I knew, many that I didn't. I'd need to go back and have another listen for my thoughts on most other songs but I did get smacked in the face by the gloriousness of that 3rd track - lovin' it. And that last track is cool - I'll always love anyone who brings da funk. I did some calculations after it had finished and I realised I'd actually driven 33 kilometres (that's 20 miles to y'all) whilst that song played alone.

This shit is fun. Carry on.

It was certainly the weakest run of songs in the mix. My reaction wasn't quite as strong as yours. Kinda funny to read my comment, followed by yours, on each track.

Listened to bada's mix through again at work today and loved it. I can happily admit to being way too quick a judge. Really great run through of easy rolling songs. Nice.

I've been too busy enjoying track eleven to put together my thoughts on the rest of the mix. I swear I'll get to it though.

Track 1: I like the gentle mystery in the opening music, the transition into the vocals is a bit much. The music suits the singer. Not bad

Track 2: Not a fan of this kind of pleasant stoner rock, and this song is a bit overwritten with the details. The music is nice enough, if unremarkable, and the song is too well meaning to really dislike, but I don't like it either

Track 3: I enjoyed that Chvrches album, which has probably helped put me in a place where i'd like this song. The music is what it is (I'm opening up to this kind of stuff more) and I like the singer. This feels very 80s to me, like someone wanted to capture that aesthetic but not be embarrassed by it.

My favorite so far. The first artist I might choose to follow up on

Okay, track 2 for real: I like the scratchy keyboard behind the guitars. The music is pretty cool. But this song is trying too hard. And the BZZZZZZ stuff is just really dumb. And it gets dumber with each iteration.
