I don't like it that much either, but it's not that hard to get tickets if you know how it works and put the right shows in the right order.

Lincoln was the one show that pretty much was a guaranteed win. Reserved for Memphis and Tulsa were also pretty much locks. The rest were easy to get shut out of if you put GA's on top across the board or picked only the high demand shows in the first two spots.

Of course, I say this now, but I don't even know if I've won anything yet. I could get all pissed off and retract all that in a few minutes if i get shut out.... (but I won't, because I've got St Louis reserved in the 2nd spot and Memphis reserved in the 4th) I know I'll win at least those two.

And right on cue....

I hit refresh on the Tickets page and just as I thought-

Shut out of Cincy GA as #1
Got Memphis and St Louis reserved seats.

I honestly feel it has more to do with the limited shows the band does these days. its not like they are doin ga massive 50 date jaunt across the states. They tour every so often and only a handful of dates. I just think more people are going for less shows. This all seemed to be start around 08 where people started to get super pissy about being shut out for shows. Myself included.

I dont know. Perhaps its just a theory im working on.

You can't ignore the GA aspect added now. Less shows certainly is a factor, but anyone can join the day before the tour goes on sale, and regardless of seniority score the best seats in the house. Before the tickets on TM were as good or better than the worst seats from 10c so what would be the point in joining.

If they are going to do this lottery bullshit, they should have a system in place to give priority to people who actually live in the cities/states of shows over those that travel. I've never seen PJ in a city that I've actually lived in, so it's pretty infuriating that I got shut out from 10C tickets when I finally live somewhere they are actually playing.

But how would this work for people who don't live near a major market? The 10C isn't going to alienate fans.

Easy - just designate the market for which you'd always want to be considered.

This has all been said countless times before but seniority still applies to the reserved sections in exactly the same way as it always has. Seniority never provided a better chance of securing tickets to a show.

So they tour the East Coast, everyone picks New York as their "hometown" show and...?

I don't like the idea. PJ is my excuse to travel. I don't want to exclusively see them in Philly or NYC.

No. For those that don't live in a major market, you designate in your member details before tours are even announced.
