There will be some filler no doubt but handled well the preamble tense negotiations and eventually battle breaking out, could be excellent.

There is also the resolution of the sauron storyline.lowlight79 wrote:So there gonna make a whole movie outta this? that seems more stretched then a girl in a 50 man gangbang, but thanks dime.dimejinky99 wrote:Lowlight, once smaug has been defeated and the dwarves retake the mountain, men from lake town come for restitution for all the damage smaug caused their logic being, you woke the dragon. This movie will make or break the trilogy, since so much of the first two films (basically all of them) have been building to resolutions in the third film. It's not like there are stand alone climaxes for each film like there are with lotr

This may be the first time I seriously seek out a fan edit. I think there's going to be a cracker 1 or 2 film version of this whole series once all the extended cuts are out.

In a rare twist of logic, more has actually turned out to mean better with PJ's adaptations thus far.

that's usually true. Because he tells such long and languid stories the extended editions usually do a nice job fleshing out stuff his regular versions which, while overlong, feel that way in part because, absurdly, they aren't long enough.

I absolutely agree with regards to LOTR, but the Hobbit series has too many flaws to be fixed by an extended edition. There are things that don't need no extendin'.stip wrote:that's usually true. FWIW the extra ten minutes in the extended cut of the first hobbit movie did actually add a lot.
