Humor is often used to convey serious issues. Think of morgue humor and other forms of black comedy. Humor, however, rarely works well in a musical context. Few can pull it off. Here's a rather brilliant use of humor, conveying a serious set of issues, and wrapped in a voice of gold.

The 13th Floor Elevators - You're Gonna Miss Me

This is the song I'll be playing when I burn this place down over stip calling everything "Motown."

Sorry, it's Infallible that's Motown...

There’s a distinctly Glen Ballard feel to the ominous cuts of Infallible that give way to Motown-level soul striding.
So my answer is Infallible.

Years ago someone ( not me but I wish it was ) commented that you can hear a lot of Michael Jackson influence in eddies performance on Ten. Thoughts?

Yeah, I can see where the person who said that is coming from. There's a lot of making up for relatively pedestrian melodies (especially in the verses) with dynamic phrasing, unique emphasis, and weird vocal ticks. MJ was a master at those things.

They both heavily relied on the practice of having drawn-out first parts of a phrase/line followed by very condensed, word heavy flourishes at the end of each line.
