How can we be this far in with nothing from James Brown?

Awesome pick. One of my top five Motown singles of all-time.

I actually love motown even though my picks until now haven't reflected that.

Same here. My wishlist was so absurdly Motown heavy that I told myself I was going to try to take no more than three. It's been really hard. There is so much amazing stuff from that label still unpicked. I'd be shocked, but then again I shouldn't be, seeing what's been picked so far.

If I can get what I want I'll probably go motown the rest of the way.

I'm sure you can. There have been three Motown songs taken in this whole thing so far (compared to like 72 Rolling Stones songs).

THREE.

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?

I should have picked nothing but Motown.

I'm going to organize a Motown tournament. I don't care if I'm the only person in it. I'm sure I can convince Skitch or harmless to join anyways.

I would definitely be in for that. I considered Just My Imagination for my second pick but it's 1971.

That's such an awesome song.

Y'know what, after this ends I might do the Motown tournament. Even though we all know that whoever gets Who's Johnny by El DeBarge is going to win (assuming we permit Motown subsidiaries).

Well, I was going to use this pick to take 'Girl From the North Country' but that was not to be so I will go with another Folk Classic.

Townes Van Zandt - Lungs

The video says 1973, but that's just for this particular recording.
