If Ten Never Existed - But the Songs Did....

Post by Oversize »

If Ten were never released, but the tracks were "Lost Dogs" of sorts... on which album would you place each song, and where in the tracklist would you put it?

Songs:
Once
Even Flow
Alive
Why Go
Black
Jeremy
Oceans
Porch
Garden
Deep
Release

Albums:
Vs.
Vitalogy
No Code
Yield
Binaural
Riot Act
Pearl Jam
Backspacer
Lightning Bolt

I think he's wondering which album each song on Ten sounds closest to.

That's tough. Ten is really out of sync with the rest of the catalog.

We're really reaching for thread ideas at this point

Ten is the only album that most of these could ever "fit" with.

I guess that Oceans could live on Binaural or Riot Act.
Porch could sorta kinda fit on Vs.
And maybe Release could work on Vitalogy.

But, man, these are all real stretches.

They should have just released a Mother Love Bone instrumental album with the half of the TEN songs they had before Eddie. I'm sure it would have went multi-platinum anyway. All early Pearl Jam was just glorified '80s hair metal anyway.

I agree with most of those choices! I know the Ten songs don't fit easily on another album, but that's the fun of it all.

Where would you track those choices? I would put Once right before Dissident. Although it's a great album opener as well.

It took a full minute before I stopped trying to make sense out of this. Good job
