Yeah, that thing annoys me. Fortunately he rarely does anything on FB.

You guys, I asked my wife what her favorite Led Zeppelin song is and she said "The Crunge." What the fuck is that shit?

Personally, I'd be more impressed that she even knew that that was a Zeppelin song

So are there going to be more of these remasters?

They remastered the whole catalog. It's on iTunes and some French site in lossless. The deluxe sets are coming out in 3 groups of 3.

Thanks WCT!

I'm looking forward to additional material from the Graffiti and Presence sessions (if there's any that hasn't already been mined).

I think what they are doing is - the albums proper will come with an "alternate" version of the album - the actual finished unreleased songs are being saved for the Coda deluxe - and when they don't have enough outtakes (such as the first album) they are going to include live material and shit like that. I think the live concert on the first set sounds like garbage - I can't believe Jimmy Page released it - others disagree.

This all seems reasonable. Haven't had a chance to listen to the live show on I but I will find the time this weekend.

"Presence" is going to come with a totally different mix of the album that Page recently stumbled upon.

I expected worse on the live concert...but I recall reading that there wasn't any soundboard recording of that show so Pagey had to work from a few different sources.

Also Page mentioned that the only live recording in the remasters was that Paris show for LZ1.

I'm digging the hell out of the remasters. On par with the remastered Beatles albums from a few years back if you ask me, but I'm no audio expert. The songs sound much better than the 94 remasters.

I'm surprised he left the sound of someone hitting record on all the tracks at the start of Immigrant Song. Also kind of bummed about the live stuff. I would have preferred a nice audio copy of that Danish TV show they did in '69. That's my favorite version of How Many More Times.

The concert makes me realize how far they came between that October 10, 1969 show and the Royal Albert Hall show on the dvd a mere three months later January 9, 1970. On the new remaster, it is the blues covers that work best. John Paul Jones is a beast. As for the sound, I think for what was recorded for fm radio 45 years ago that it's pretty amazing.

The rough mixes on II and III just make me appreciate Jimmy Page more as a producer. III is the more interesting of the two. Hearing some of the songs without vocals does let you have more appreciation for the musicianship the band had. I love the band and have come away liking them even more and appreciating them more.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

I didn't realize the show was from 10/10, has anyone listened to the Pre-FM source currently circulating to see if it is any better?
