Re: Best Decade Tournament Round II: 60s: Round 1 6/8 - 6/9
If anyone wants, I've uploaded a playlist of my picks on Drive. If you haven't heard some of the songs, or forgot just how good they are, or just want a nice sixties mix to add to your collection, here it is...
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6VItz ... sp=sharing
I'll leave it up for a few days.

Bugs (Girl From the North Country, yes!)
HoldTightTheThing (very diverse lineup)
DCT (Lament had a hell of a lineup, but my hatred of “Nights in White Satin” knows no boundaries. Didn't realize the Moody Blues were on Motown!)
I’ll refrain from voting in match 6 to see if I can goose egg this baby. I’ll be surprised if I get a single vote, but I played it that way. Tons of great songs in all of these lists, but I burnt out on the big rock hits years ago and don’t really listen to ‘em anymore. The Beatles and the Stones belong on anyone's list of great sixties bands, but they have so much good material it's almost futile to pick one song. For rock, I generally prefer the early sixties to the later stuff, but find myself gravitating towards country and jazz, two genres whose revolutions paralleled what was happening in rock and are every bit as interesting.

Thanks, gentlemen. Mission accomplished.stip wrote:I did discover a few pretty cool songs on PryTo's list, though

Why does HTTT's playlist get a URL in the OP and mine doesn't?
You're still mad I narrowly beat in round one en route to my REM title, aren't you, stip?

Kaius (Kaius' songs I love more than make up for the few he has that I really don't care for)
bada (Both these groups were super hit or miss for me, but the songs I like on bada's I like slight more than the ones on HTTT's)
Me (I wasn't gonna vote in this one, but since Joey did I will too)
numbers (These were probably my two favorite groups besides my own...I hated having to pick one, but numbers totally crushed it with his last four picks)

But I've voted for you in every single tournament except the REM one! Do you know what that does to my "cred"?
