New to the board(live show question).....

Post by BigRedLedbetter »

Hello everyone. This is my first post. Please, hold your applause.

I will be going to my first PJ show in October. I got really good seats to the show in Lincoln. I had a question about boots. So I have a few PJ boots but want more. Sorry of this is the wrong section for this but what are a few shows that you must own? The sound quality of the ones that just came out on iTunes recently are great. But what are some of the best shows to get?

Thanks. Keep on rockin in the free world and stuff. ;)

surprised you guys are recommending post-2000 shows to a newbie, when the best live shows are from '94 and '95 and he currently has none.

I know the material very well but yes I'm wet behind the ears with boots. Teach me the way, vets.

Board member chud was kind enough to provide this link to the remastered Self-Pollution radio broadcasts. He converted to Apple Lossless for me: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yf4pqzh7k0qx6 ... ssless.zip

The first post of this (http://forums.theskyiscrape.com/viewtop ... f=17&t=837) thread has a link to download the shows in the Soundboard Remaster Series.

Wendy Carlos's Twin took some of the best pre-2000 soundboard recordings and remastered them to sound similar to the official 2000 bootlegs. They sound fantastic, and they're some of the best recorded shows Pearl Jam performed in the 90s. Listen to them.

Almost everything March 24, 1994 until the end of that leg is superb.
I enjoy those November 1995 shows too.

Perfect list.
If only they would vault release these fuckers. We've got decent enough recordings on Zurich and Soldier Field, but the other four are ripe for the picking from the vault.
